On Sunday evening, my family and I decided to take a trip up to Durham for a little shop about and a meal. After a visit to TKMaxx and Superdrug (and a little pick about online earlier on), my Secret Santa present shopping was complete and then, there were a few more ounces off my shoulders. I've taken part in two Secret Santa's this year, one at work and one with my friends. I actually found both of them pretty easy to do because there are some really great stocking fillers out there at the moment. Later on in Blogmas, I am going to do a Secret Santa Ideas for Any Acquaintance. I'm so happy with the presents that I've bought my friends and family this year; it's making me really excited to gift them all.

Anyhow, we wondered around Durham seeking warmth in anywhere indoors because, despite Coats, Gloves and Scarf, the -1 Degrees was SO chilly. We went to La Tasca for early dinner and got an absolutely bloody heavenly Paella. La Tasca is, and always has been, one of my favourite restaurants - Tapas and Spanish cuisine always makes my mouth water. After we'd eaten, we just couldn't move. We just to say managed to force down every last inch of Paella and, as tired as it left us, we were all so satisfied.

As when we left it was closing in dark, the Christmas lights were starting to sparkle and show their colours. Jamie and I got a picture together in front of the City Centre Christmas Tree (and in both pictures taken, at least one of us had our eyes closed) and then, whilst walking back to the car, the snow began. It was cold, pretty, and magical.

Family time is really what makes Christmas special for me.

What makes Christmas special for you?
