The Essentials: Nail, Hair, Skin and Lip Care.

The things you need for nail, hair, skin and lip care + Fun Facts

About 2/3 years ago, now, I stopped biting away at my nails. It was the best New Years resolution I've ever done. Now I wouldn't dream of biting my nails because my nails are so healthy looking. I keep my nails this healthy by making sure every few weeks I cut and file them. Nails will grow longer and quicker if you keep them healthier. So the essentials for nail care are, simply just a good pair of nail scissors and a nail file/emery board, which should always be sharp, never blunt.

Fact: Nails grow approximately 1cm for every 100 days.

To keeps hair healthy it's so important to use the right products. Products that are popular for the right reasons, gentle to your hair, do what they say on the bottle and suit your needs. I use this conditioner every time I wash my hair. This is (a very pricey) John Frieda, 'full Repair'. I use this on the ends of my hair, about half way, and it leaves me have none tangled hair at all.

Fact: By the age of 65, the average woman will have spent more than
7 months of their lives on their hair.

After being a eczema sufferer for about 2 years, my skin is finally settling down. Yes, I have been prescribed special creams from the doctor however the cream that keeps my going every day is definitely my moisturiser. Whatever moisturiser you use, or don't use, it is so important to your skin that you keep it hydrated.

Fact: An average adults skin spans 21 square feet, weighs nine ponds and contains more than 11 miles of blood vessels.

All year around, my lips are dry. I feel really uncomfortable if my aren't lips soft and always feel the need to carry a lip balm with me every where, preferably a Born Lippy BodyShop lip balm. Although, when my lips are chapped, flakey and sore I use Blistex Relief Cream. I have used this for years and it has never let my down. This product is perfect.

Fact: The Egyptians invented the first lipstick over 4000 years ago.
